Eligibility Criteria For Bihar School Teacher Recruitment 2023
A. For Basic Category of School Teacher (Class 1-5)
10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education obtained as per NCTE Regulations 2002. OR
10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.El.Ed.OR
10+2 (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known; OR
Graduation with 50% Marks and B.Ed. OR
Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed.
B. For Class 9 to 10 School Teacher for General Subjects
Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in the specified subject / group of subjects and B.Ed from an institution recognized by the NCTE. OR
Graduation/ Post Graduation with at least 45% marks in Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and NCTE notified on 13.11.2002 (Application for recognition, Time limit for submission of application, Teacher Determination of norms and standards for recognition of education programs and permission to start new courses or training) Regulation 2002 and NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation-2007 notified on 10.12.2007 from the NCTE B.Ed. from a recognized Institute. OR
Four-year B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. degree in the specified subject/ group of subjects from any institution recognized by the NCTE.
Proviso: For the appointment to the post of school teacher for classes 09 to 10, 05 percent relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ EBC/ BC and Divyang in the minimum qualifying marks in educational and training qualification.
C. The Subject Group for appointment to the post of School Teacher from class 9 to 10:
- Mathematics:- Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science/Chemistry/ Statistics with Mathematics at graduation level with any two subjects studied at graduation level OR Engineering graduate with specialization in Mathematics.
- Science:- Studied in Zoology, Botany and Chemistry at graduation level or graduate in engineering with specialization in science.
- Social Science:- Passed in any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science under subsidiary subject/ honours subject at graduation level, in which compulsorily one subject must be History or Geography.
- Language Related Topics:- For the post of secondary teacher, it is mandatory to have studied language related subjects at graduation level as a related language subject.
D. For General Subjects For Class 11 to 12 School Teacher
Master’s degree with at least 50% marks in the specified subject and B.Ed. from an institution recognized by the NCTE. OR
Post Graduate (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and NCTE notified on 13.11.2002 (Application for recognition, time limit for submission of applications, recognition of teacher education programs) education from an institution recognized by the NCTE as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulation-2007 notified on 10.12.2007 and the permission to start new courses or training) Regulations, 2002 Graduate in Education (B.Ed.) OR
Post Graduate (or its equivalent) in the specified subject with at least 50% marks and B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. from any institution recognized by the NCTE. OR
Post Graduate in the specified subject with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and 03 years integrated B.Ed – M.Ed.
Proviso:- For appointment to the post of school teacher for classes 11 to 12, 05 percent relaxation will be given in the minimum prescribed qualifying marks to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ EBC/ BC and Divyang in educational and educational qualification.

BE or B.Tech degree in any stream and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer. OR
Post Graduate in Computer Science / MCA or equivalent degree. OR
Graduation in Computer Science / BCA or equivalent and Post Graduation in any discipline. OR
Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Post Graduate Degree in any discipline. OR

Three years course (6 semesters) of MCA.
Proviso:-
- For appointment to the post of computer science subject for classes 11 to 12, 05 percent relaxation will be given in the minimum prescribed qualifying marks to the candidates belonging to SC /ST /EBC /BC and Divyang in educational qualification.
- The qualification of B.Ed is not mandatory for the candidates of Computer Science subject.
G. For School Teacher of class 11-12 for Music Subject
Master’s degree in Music Education with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent qualification.
H. For Class 11 to 12 School Teacher in Commerce Faculty/ Subject
In the Faculty of Commerce, three subjects will be appointed in EPS, Accountancy and Business Study respectively. For this, candidates who have passed Teacher Eligibility Test in Commerce can apply for appointment in any one of the above three subjects. But the candidates who have passed Teacher Eligibility Test in the subject of EPS or Accountancy or Business Study will be able to apply for appointment in the concerned subject only.

Selection Process of Bihar School Teacher Recruitment 2023
On the basis of the result of the written examination, the Commission will prepare a provisional merit list of the successful candidates. In case of equal total marks in written examination (objective) first in age and in case of equality in age, the candidate whose name is alphabetically in Devanagari script will be given preference.

- The points mentioned in the related advertisement displayed on the official website of the Commission have been carefully studied and according to the advertisement all the desired certificates / documents are available with the candidate in original.
- Scanned copy (pdf format, maximum 100 KB size) of all the desired certificates/documents to be uploaded in the Application Form as per the related advertisement is available with the candidate.
- Webcam of good quality should be available in the system (Desktop / Laptop etc) from which the application is being filled, as well as ensure that the background is white / light colored and sufficient light is available while capturing the photo.
- Scanned Image (jpg/jpeg format, maximum size 15KB and dimension 220*100 pixel) of the Hindi and English signature to be uploaded is available, which should be clear and readable.
How To Apply Online BPSC Bihar School Teacher 2023
Registration:
1. Applicants first go to Bihar Public Service Commission’s online application website https://onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in and click on the tab of “Online Registration”, apply online against the post for which they want to apply. Click on the button On the Registration page, the candidates will fill their respective information and click on the “Submit” button, after which the User Name and Password will be received on the screen, which can also be seen on the Registered Mobile number / E-mail Id.
Application:
2. After completing the registration process, the candidate will login on the home page of https://onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in with the User Name and Password received on the Registered Mobile number / E-mail Id. After login, candidates will fill the online application by clicking on the button of Application Form.
- Certain (some) boxes in the application form will be pre-filled, which have been filled by the candidate at the time of registration.
- According to the related advertisement, the scanned copy (pdf format, maximum 100 KB in size) of all the desired certificates / documents will be uploaded at the prescribed place in the Application Form.
- Before uploading a clear photograph of the candidate through Webcam at the prescribed place in the Application Form, the candidate should ensure that he/she is not wearing cap/ muffler/ coloured glasses etc.
- Will upload his legible signature in Hindi and English at the designated place.
- After this the candidates will submit the Application Form.
Edit:
3. The facility to edit will be available after filling the details in the Registration and Application Form, the option to edit will be available only before making the payment. In this, there will be a provision to edit any entry filled by the candidate.
Note:- The details of Registration and Application Form can be edited by the candidate only before making the online payment till the prescribed last date of application.

4. Before making online payment of examination fee, candidates should ensure that all the information entered in the application is correct. After payment, there will be no provision to edit the entry made by the candidate in the online application.
5. Will pay the examination fee by clicking on the button of Tab ‘Online Payment’ available on the Dashboard.

After online payment of examination fee, the candidate will login again at the same time and click on the tab “Download Filled Application Form” available on the Dashboard to download the filled application (Pdf). Candidates should also ensure that the downloaded application ( Registration Number, Bar Code and Submitted Application Number are mentioned on each page of Pdf) / Hard Copy. Application is complete even if one of the Registration Number, Bar Code and Submitted Application Number is not mentioned on the application (Pdf) / Hard Copy. will not be treated as filled in form and application will not be accepted.
