Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

The educational qualification for the post of constable shall be Intermediate (10+2) passed or Maulvi certificate issued by BSMEB or Shastri (with English) or Acharya (without English) certificate issued by the Sanskrit Board of the State of Bihar or any other equivalent educational qualification recognized by the State Government.

Bihar Police Constable Selection Process

1. Written Examination

• Exam Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
• Total Marks: 100
• Number of Questions: 100
• Subjects Covered:

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standards Test (PST)

Candidates who clear the written exam are called for PET/PST.

Physical Standards Test (PST) – Eligibility Criteria

• Male Candidates:
• Height:
  • General/BC: 165 cm
  • EBC/SC/ST: 160 cm
• Chest (Unexpanded – Expanded):
  • General/BC/EBC: 81–86 cm
  • SC/ST: 79–84 cm
• Female Candidates:
• Height (All categories): 155 cm
• No chest measurement required.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Performance Based

1. Running Test:

• Male: 1.6 km in 6 minutes
• Female: 1 km in 5 minutes

1. Shot Put (Gola Fenk):

• Male: 16-pound shot put thrown 17 feet
• Female: 12-pound shot put thrown 13 feet

1. High Jump:

• Male: 4 feet
• Female: 3 feet

3. Medical Examination

Candidates who pass the PET are required to undergo a medical check-up to ensure they meet health and fitness standards.

4. Document Verification

• 10th/12th pass certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Other relevant documents

5. Final Merit List & Selection
